Who are we hiring?  

The VP Internal Communications & Engagement is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of internal communications across the MSG Family of Companies. Reporting to the SVP Talent, this role serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and is responsible for ensuring employees across the organization are informed, inspired and connected to our mission, values and business priorities.  

Operating in a fast-paced, highly visible environment where announcements and operational priorities evolve quickly, the VP must bring an “always on” mindset – anticipating communications needs, responding rapidly to emerging developments and ensuring clear, timely messaging across the enterprise.  

This leader will bring a progressive, innovative communications mindset, continuously evolving how the organization engages employees through modern storytelling, emerging technologies and creative communications.  

What will you do?  

  • Lead the enterprise internal communications strategy for the MSG Family of Companies, reaching our 11,000+ employees across corporate offices and venues, ensuring clear, consistent and relevant messaging for frontline, back of house and corporate audiences. 
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders, shaping messaging for organizational initiatives, key milestones and business changes. 
  • Translate complex business strategies into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse employee audiences. 
  • Introduce innovative communication approaches, tools and storytelling formats that enhance employee engagement and information flow. 
  • Oversee all internal communication channels, including intranet (desktop and mobile app), email and digital signage and oversee a unified enterprise editorial calendar that aligns messaging to business priorities and key moments.  
  • Partner cross-functionally (HR, Legal, Marketing, PR/External Comms, Venue Operations, business leaders etc.) to ensure aligned messaging across the employee experience.   
  • Maintain flexibility and responsiveness in an environment where evenings, weekends and live event cycles for 
  • Support and inspire a team and bring fresh thinking, bold ideas and strong point of view on the future of employee experience.  

What do you need to succeed? 

  • 12+ years of experience in internal communications, HR communications, corporate communications or related fields 
  • Exceptional writer with a strategic approach to messaging, timing, and channel selection 
  • Able to manage a high volume of work, meet tight deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail 
  • Proactive, employee-focused, and committed to delivering excellent employee experience 
  • Demonstrated team leadership with the ability to drive projects forward in complex environments 
  • Strong problem-solver who approaches communications through an employee-experience lens 
  • Effective collaborator able to gain alignment and commitment across all levels of the organization  
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and handling sensitive information with discretion 
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and positive, high-energy attitude 

Special Requirements:  

  • Must have flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as business requires. 
  • Must be willing to travel to other locations.

Pay Range
$160,000$275,000 USD
