Who are we hiring?
The Arena Merchandise Supervisor is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience throughout the Theatre by leading and directing front line colleagues overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the stands, warehouse, retail stores, and portable locations within. The incumbent will be responsible for customer service aspects, employee productivity, performance, and adherence to company policies and standards. Success in this role is demonstrated by an exceptional guest experience, a commitment to continuous learning and development, and achievement of business results.
What will you do?
- Provide the highest example of customer-based service for our employees.
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
- Assigns and instructs employees in the details of work. Observes performance and encourages improvement.
- Highly responsive to emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Ensures productivity, performance, and adherence to company policies and standards are followed.
- Assists the Director, Merchandise Operations with all managerial functions inclusive of managing a sizeable staff.
- Train, coach, and develop employees while assisting with the facilitation of operational policies and strategy.
- Responsible for replenishing and maintaining inventory for sports merchandising divisions.
- Oversee inventory controls, conduct end of period inventory counts.
- Oversees Scheduling, Time and Attendance and Payroll by actively utilizing company systems i.e. Workforce and SharePoint.
What do you need to succeed?
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of years supervisory experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
- Advanced knowledge with merchandise operations and sales techniques is essential. Arena or event-based retail management experience is also preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills are desired.
- Computer proficiency with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Point of sale systems and Excel.
- Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and principles while ensuring the upmost consistency.
- Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, training and the ability to motivate a team is required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective communication with multiple organizational levels is required.
- Must be detail oriented and extremely organized with the ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.

- General physical requirements such as lifting 25 lbs., standing for long periods, walking long distances, working in inclement conditions, lead and assist in evacuation of guests and employees, ability to walk up and traverse downstairs, bending and constant motion is often required.
