Who are we hiring?
The Strategic Sourcing Manager in Procurement will evaluate and manage the furniture fixtures and equipment (FF&E) supplier relationships for all Venues. The Souring Manager will collaborate closely with the Venue Management team, project stakeholders, and potential vendors and contractors to ensure planning, sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management activities are done in an efficient and compliant manner. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will also be responsible for maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement in all activities and compliance with company policies and directives. The key objectives of this position are to work with and understand the stakeholder needs, cost drivers of the businesses, remove and reduce costs while ensuring required product and service quality and supplier performance metrics are maintained with a high degree of customer satisfaction and the ability to work independently without substantial oversight and supervision.
What will you do?
- Provide strategic sourcing support for spend areas such as Venue Construction, Show Productions, Facilities and Maintenance, and Security services
- Prepare RFP/RFQ bidder documentation to distribute to potential project suppliers and contractors.
- Manage the competitive bidding process and assist Venue Operations team in evaluating proposals and negotiating best value, including potential partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to help identify value engineering opportunities and evaluate capital costs against future operating expenses.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track spending, and prepare reports and schedules in accordance with company policies and department needs.
- Partner with Sourcing Category Lead and Senior Stakeholders base to develop spend strategies across all lines of business
- Oversee the supplier onboarding process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review and approve requisitions for goods and services associated with managed projects.
- Manage supplier and service provider relationships to ensure established performance standards are met, resolve disputes , and monitor client satisfaction with goods and services provided.
- Analyze new and current suppliers to ensure the best pricing and deliverables are in line with market conditions.
- Prepare various reports for distribution to Senior Management as requested
- Leverage external market data to ensure programs are optimized from a pricing and demand management perspective.
- Prepare bid packages for venue construction, show production, facility maintenance and security
What do you need to succeed?
- BS in Finance, Business, Purchasing or Operations related field.
- 4+ years of experience across various categories in the indirect spend including venue operations, and facility management.
- Ability to translate goals into procurement opportunities as well as effectively communicating progress.
- Hands on experience with obtaining bids as well as use of a procurement system (Coupa experience is a Plus).
- Ability to analyze data and determine opportunities for projects
- Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent skills in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working.
- Ability to be a reliable team member, capable of effective collaboration to achieve our shared goals across teams and departments.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring the message based on the purpose, audience, and channel.
