Who are we hiring?
The Manager, Creative Recruiting is a hands-on studio recruiter responsible for full-cycle hiring across Sphere Studios, supporting creative, immersive production, technical, post-production, and studio operations teams. The Manager is deeply embedded in the studio’s day-to-day work, partnering closely with creatives, producers, and technical leaders to bring exceptional talent into an immersive, fast-moving environment.
This position balances strong execution with thoughtful partnership, ensuring the hiring process reflects the studio’s creative culture while delivering timely, high-quality talent.
What will you do?
- Own full-cycle recruiting for a high-volume and highly specialized set of roles across creative, immersive, production, art, and technical teams—from kickoff through offer and hire.
- Work directly with creative leads, producers, and hiring managers to translate project needs, timelines, and creative vision into clear talent requirements.
- Source and engage candidates through direct outreach, referrals, creative communities, industry networks, and social platforms, with a strong focus on passive talent.
- Screen, assess, and guide candidates through the interview process, ensuring alignment with creative standards, technical requirements, and team culture.
- Coordinate interviews, manage feedback, and keep searches moving efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Provide practical guidance to hiring managers on interview best practices, candidate evaluation, and inclusive hiring approaches.
- Build and maintain active pipelines of creative and technical talent to support current and upcoming immersive productions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, delivering a thoughtful, transparent, and engaging experience that reflects the studio’s values and creative identity.
- Support offer development and negotiations in partnership with People Practices, ensuring offers are competitive, aligned with internal guidelines, and responsive to production timelines.
- Track recruiting progress and hiring metrics, identifying issues early and adjusting approach as needed to meet delivery goals.
- Contribute to improving recruiting workflows, tools, and sourcing approaches to better support studio hiring needs.
What do you need to succeed?
- 5+ years of hands-on recruiting experience, ideally within a creative studio, entertainment, immersive media, or production environment.
- Proven ability to recruit across creative, production, and technical roles, such as artists, designers, producers, engineers, VFX, virtual production, or immersive technology talent.
- Strong understanding of creative studio workflows and the pace and demands of production-driven hiring.
- Comfortable working closely with creatives and production teams, translating informal conversations into actionable hiring plans.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple searches simultaneously under tight timelines.
- Confident communicator who can build trust quickly with both candidates and hiring managers.
- Discretion and professionalism when working with confidential searches or high-profile talent.
- Genuine enthusiasm for immersive storytelling, experiential entertainment, and creative technology.
