Who are we hiring?

The Manager Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic advisor and key driver of HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a high-performance culture across MSG’s Venue Operations. This role is responsible for delivering proactive, value-added HR leadership to enhance workforce engagement, organizational effectiveness, and talent strategy.

This position primarily supports employees across Madison Square Garden’s Theatres—including Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre—as well as seasonal employees for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. As a trusted partner to leadership, the Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping HR strategies, guiding decision-making, and optimizing HR processes.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that drive business success, enhance employee experience, and support organizational growth.
  • Serve as the primary HR consultant for venue leadership, advising on workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Lead performance and talent development initiatives, including year-end reviews, coaching programs, and succession planning.
  • Partner with leadership to anticipate and respond to workforce trends, ensuring proactive HR solutions that support business objectives.
  • Champion change management efforts, fostering adaptability and resilience amid organizational shifts.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform HR strategy, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance and governance, maintaining expertise on company policies, employment laws, and industry best practices.
  • Advocate for employee engagement and retention, developing initiatives that enhance workplace culture and build organizational trust.
  • Oversee HR systems and reporting, ensuring accuracy in organizational structures and personnel data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with MSG’s Live, Productions, and Theatre Operations teams to enhance HR service delivery and operational excellence.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of human resources experience, ideally within entertainment, hospitality, or venue operations.
  • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term planning and hands-on execution.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in workforce planning and organizational development.
  • Ability to drive HR impact through data analysis, insights, and consultative leadership.
  • Approachable, collaborative, and influential leader, able to engage employees at all levels.
  • Commitment to integrity, diplomacy, and best-in-class HR practices that align with MSG’s values.

Pay Range
$83,000$140,000 USD
