Who are we hiring?

This role takes a proactive approach with the day-to-day operations for all dance and performance teams, including but not limited to the Knicks City Dancers (KCD), the Knicks City Kids (KCK), and the Supporting Cast. This role supports performance logistics, scheduling, talent management, vendor management, venue booking, and operational logistics.

What will you do?

  • Plan and lead all KCD and Supporting Cast rehearsals throughout the season. Responsible for facilitating all rehearsals where KCD and/or Supporting Cast is learning, polishing, and setting approved choreography for future performances.
  • Facilitate all game-day logistics including on-court rehearsals, and general performer management. Serve as on-court/on-site stage management of KCD/KCK for in-game performances, promotions, appearances, and manage and communicate all ticketing, catering, and credential needs to appropriate parties.
  • Plan and manage the master schedule for KCD, KCK, and Supporting Cast including rehearsals, games, appearances/promos, photoshoots, meetings, etc. and is responsible for communicating updates to pertinent parties.
  • Manage, reconcile and update KCD, KCK, and Supporting Cast budget actuals throughout the season and work closely with the Senior Manger to plan KCD, KCK, and Supporting Cast budgets for the following season.
  • Submit all invoices relating to performance teams and track all team hours throughout the season to be submitted to payroll weekly.
  • Gather and maintain information for all performance teams to execute performance and appearance needs such as costumes, props, makeup, etc.
  • Communicate with talent agencies and book Supporting Cast when they are needed for rehearsals and/or performances.
  • In tandem with the Senior Manager, plan and execute all performance teams castings, auditions, orientations, media days/photoshoots, make-up seminars, media training, costume fittings, promotional events, appearances, and clinics.
  • Responsible for booking all rehearsal space for performance teams throughout the season and managing space size needs based on routines.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager to execute all performance teams onboarding needs at the start of each season.
  • Along with the Senior Manager, responsible for maintenance and management of all costumes, props, and accessories for KCD, KCK, and Supporting Cast.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

What will you need to succeed?

  • 3-5 years performance experience as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, or coach. 
  • Skilled at Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Demonstrated organization skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work quickly and under pressure. 

Special Requirements

  • Must be available nights/evenings/weekends/holidays and to work all NY Knicks home games and in market events as needed

Pay Range
$45,000$70,000 USD
