Who are we hiring?
The Analyst Benefits will be responsible for administering the company’s employee benefits programs, with a focus on Time Away from Work and Leave of Absence programs, including Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Acting as a primary point of contact, the Analyst will provide guidance and support to Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and employees on benefit-related inquiries and processes. Additionally, the role will support the Benefits Manager in vendor management, compliance, and the ongoing administration of other benefits programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, Workers’ Compensation, and voluntary benefits. This role is based in Las Vegas, Nevada reporting to the Benefits Manager based in New York, NY.
What will you do?
- Serve as the liaison between employees, HRBPs, managers, and third-party administrators throughout the leave process, ensuring timely management of all leaves and ADA accommodations.
- Provide expert guidance and serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding Time Away from Work, Leave of Absence, and benefits programs, clearly explaining policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees understand their responsibilities to request leave and accommodations under ADA guidelines.
- Maintain consistent communication with employees on leave to ensure a smooth and timely return to work from extended FMLA, Workers' Compensation, or other leaves.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors on Workers’ Compensation administration.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing for employees on leave by reconciling leave records with payroll data and third-party administrators.
- Participate in bi-weekly meetings with third-party administrators to address outstanding leave issues, system updates, and general concerns.
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, enrollments, status changes, and other related questions.
- Prepare ad hoc management reports on benefits eligibility, leave of absence, and Time Away from Work.
- Identify process gaps and opportunities in benefits and leave administration and suggest improvements.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance departmental processes, customer service, and the overall employee experience.
- Provide support for other areas of the benefits department as needed.
What do you need to succeed?
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, specializing in compliance and employee support
- Expertise in managing ADA accommodation requests and ensuring legal compliance
- Extensive knowledge of state-mandated leave benefits.
- Confident ability to thrive in matrixed organization, collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external partners to drive outcomes and foster strong relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at simplifying complex information and tailoring messages for diverse audiences.
- Experienced in handling confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and time management skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and reliable, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and new ways of working.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to adapt to new technologies, with a collaborative approach to achieving team and organizational goals.
