This position will serve as a key technical resource for the networked audio systems that support immersive sound experiences across the venues.

The Specialist will provide strategic oversight of system performance, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, maintain system standards and documentation, and partner with internal technology teams, manufacturers, and vendors to support reliable system operation. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced live entertainment environment where system reliability is critical to event and performance operations.

What will you do?

  • Drive continuous optimization of system performance and establish routine checks and preventative maintenance practices to identify and address potential issues before they impact a performance.
  • Operate and maintain system monitoring and observability tools to provide visibility into the health and performance of the technology stack.
  • Provide strategic oversight of technical infrastructure and issue resolution across networked audio, servers, processing, routing, and related systems, leading cross-functional escalation, vendor engagement, and technology partnerships to mitigate risk, optimize system performance, and ensure operational continuity.
  • Partner with manufacturers and vendors on system support, defects, firmware updates, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Drive alignment with the Technology Infrastructure team on shared network and server environments, ensuring that the audio systems are properly supported and maintained.
  • Establish and oversee system documentation, configuration standards, reference information, runbooks, and readiness procedures.
  • Steer the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of audio and technology equipment within venue equipment and rack rooms.
  • Govern consistent system configurations and operational standards across venues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance related to the physical and networked operation of the Sphere Immersive Sound systems.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of system updates, improvements, and new technologies as the installed systems evolve.
  • Work closely with Audio, Production, Technology, and other venue teams to support successful event and performance operations.
  • Respond to system issues as needed during performances and other live events, using sound technical judgment to troubleshoot and restore system functionality.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience supporting networked audio, audio systems, AV technology, or a related technical environment, preferably within live entertainment or another mission-critical environment.
  • Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with networked audio systems and a strong understanding of the audio signal chain, including processing, routing, IP transport, and amplification.
  • Knowledge of audio-over-IP technologies and standards, including AES67, Ravenna, Dante, and AVB.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including network topology, managed switches, and server administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems and identifying the root cause of system issues.
  • Knowledge of production audio systems, including experience with systems such as DiGiCo, Yamaha, Lawo, D-Mitri, and/or Q-SYS.
  • Experience with system monitoring, diagnostics, or observability tools and the ability to use system data to identify potential issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to technical issues with a sense of urgency, particularly in a live performance environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, manufacturers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams
