As Executive Vice President of Marketing Partnerships for Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment), Ron Skotarczak is responsible for developing and advancing the Company’s overall business goals across its marketing partnership and premium hospitality sales and service groups. In this role, Mr. Skotarczak spearheads the Signature level sales efforts, developing cross-venue, multi-platform solutions that leverage MSG Entertainment’s portfolio. This includes the Company’s venues: Madison Square Garden, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre, as well as a variety of live entertainment offerings. Among these offerings is the Company’s own production, the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes; Boston Calling music festival; and Tao Group Hospitality, which features entertainment dining and nightlife brands. As part of this, Mr. Skotarczak is charged with ensuring a world-class experience for the Company’s partners through exceptional service, activation plans and execution.
Mr. Skotarczak’s leadership of marketing partnerships at MSG Entertainment is also part of a larger integrated approach that includes Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) and MSG Networks Inc. MSG Sports became a standalone company in April 2020 when The Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) separated its sports and entertainment businesses, and features assets including: the New York Knicks, New York Rangers and Westchester Knicks; Counter Logic Gaming, a North American esports organization; and Knicks Gaming, an NBA 2K League franchise. MSG Networks, which became a pure-play media company in 2015 following the spin-off of MSG, houses two regional sports and entertainment networks, MSG Network and MSG+. In his role, Mr. Skotarczak leverages a full breadth of marketing opportunities and corporate hospitality solutions across the three companies’ assets to create unrivaled platforms and exposure for partners.
Mr. Skotarczak joined MSG in December 2008 and over his tenure he has played a key role in securing multiple significant marketing partnerships, highlighted by MSG’s first-ever Marquee Partner, JPMorgan Chase. In addition, he has secured Signature Partnerships with industry-leading brands including Anheuser-Busch, Charter Communications, Delta Air Lines, Kia Motors, Lexus, PepsiCo and Squarespace, that incorporate multiple MSG Entertainment, MSG Sports and MSG Networks assets.
Prior to joining MSG, Mr. Skotarczak served as President and Director for Lightning Gaming, a company he co-founded. Under his leadership, Lightning Gaming experienced unprecedented growth in less than three years of business. Before this, he was Vice President at AND 1, where he established and developed the AND 1 Entertainment Division, which was credited with launching the international basketball tour “The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour” and the television program, “Streetball: The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour,” which aired on ESPN. Before joining AND 1, Mr. Skotarczak was Vice President at HoopsTV where he managed the advertising sales and content acquisition departments, working with companies such as Coca-Cola, FootAction, Comcast, Fila and Reebok, along with top colleges, high schools and sports leagues across the nation. During his career Mr. Skotarczak has also held sales positions with the Philadelphia Eagles and Comcast-Spectacor.
In 2011, Mr. Skotarczak was named to SportsBusiness Journal’s “Forty Under 40.” He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University in Pennsylvania, where he also served as an adjunct professor.
