Who are we hiring?
Under general direction and supervision by the Specialist, Communications, the New York Knicks Public Relations Game Night Staff are responsible for handling, preparing, and executing all elements in support of the Knicks game days for the 2024-25 NBA season. As part of the Knicks PR game night staff, you will assist with game preparation, credentialing and supporting the coordination of information shared with the media. These positions are part-time but will require late nights and open availability for New York Knicks home games at Madison Square Garden.
What will you do?
- Assist the Knicks PR team with all game day operations, including media credentialing, sharing statistical documents, and assisting media and visiting teams on site.
- Execute pre-game setup, preparing rosters and starting lineup information, as well as assisting stats table team with game book delivery and printer supplies.
- Aid in distributing credentials for home games and managing media access as required by the league and our internal department.
- Print and distribute statistics to media and assist with team press conferences and other media availabilities before and after home games.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
- Ability to work most New York Knicks home games, including weekends and holidays.
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Interest in public relations/sports and entertainment field.
- Has effective communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to collaborate with teams positively.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work diligently in a fast-paced environment.
